Numerical Analysis of Wind Effects on a Residential Building with a Focus on the Linings, Window Sills, and Lintel

This article deals with the investigation of wind effects on a façade rectangular residential building explicit modelling windows for specific conditions. The external pressure coefficients were treated and at places window sills, linings, lintel direction from 0° to 90° increments 22.5°. For detailed analysis, CFD simulation using Ansys Fluent was used. method selected solution its setting (quality meshing, horizontal homogeneity boundary layer, etc.) verified by known results similar objects. purpose this analysis is show how important it consider determine suitable placement passive ventilation devices. Research shows potential optimal position units in terms favourable distribution. Zones negative corners or façades wake are not applying units. can serve as basis designers achieve comfort buildings.
